Whether it is a new-build site, a plot that has grown over, or a cutback around an existing home, the aim is the same: a clean site and a clear next step.

Clearing can be selective. On several of the plots pictured here, established trees were left standing and the rest cleared back to bare ground or mulch.

Straight answers.

Do you provide free quotes?

Yes, every quote is free. Pricing itself is project based: it depends on the scope and size of the job, not a flat rate.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the job and the time of year. Most jobs can be done within a week or two. August to December is the busy season, because everyone wants things finished before the Christmas shutdown. Bigger jobs sometimes have to wait, and at the busiest times the waiting list has been three to four months, because the team does the work itself and does not outsource.

Do you use your own team?

Yes, no subcontractors. Most of the team has been with Ashley for seven to ten years, built up together from the start. Everyone is cross-trained, so the same crew that handles landscaping can run a full garden service too.

What areas do you serve?

Betty's Bay, Pringle Bay, Rooi Els and Kleinmond: the whole Cape Whale Coast.
